Osteovital (Sissach)

Osteopathy is a purely manual medicine. One of its principles is to view, examine and treat the patient's body holistically. The aim of each treatment is to identify the underlying causes of the respective complaints and to treat them by means of manual techniques. The osteopath's field of activity is essentially divided into three main areas. Depending on the findings, techniques from the treatment areas of the muscle-joint system (parietal osteopathy), the internal organs (visceral osteopathy) or the head-sacral connection (craniosacral osteopathy) are used.

Functional disturbances of the structural body mechanics lead to pain via chains of effects. The osteopath analyzes disturbances, mobilizes and stimulates the body's own systems and thus stimulates self-regulating processes. The detection of such disturbances and their manual treatment are the goals of osteopathy. The tools of the osteopath are exclusively his hands.
