Course of a session

We begin with a full medical history, followed by a clinical medical and osteopathic examination to assess the various signs related to the symptoms described.

Using the information gathered from the examination and history, we synthesize it to make our osteopathic diagnosis and determine the treatment methodology.

From our therapeutic arsenal, we will choose the most appropriate techniques according to age and patient.

We work on different parts of the body (skull, vertebrae, fascia, muscles, nerves, ligaments, viscera, etc.).

If an osteopathic treatment proves unsuitable, we refer the patient to an appropriate healthcare professional. Osteopathy is a manual therapy that takes into account the body as a whole.

According to the osteopathic principle, physical and psychological ailments affect the body as a whole. Stress, poor posture and accidents therefore affect not just one system (digestive, musculoskeletal, vascular, hormonal, neurological, etc.), but the whole body.

Using the various manual techniques available, the osteopath will seek out the tensions or imbalances at the root of the disturbance. The aim is to re-establish harmony in the musculoskeletal, myofascial and other systems, in order to relieve functional disorders.

It should also be noted that the action of osteopathic treatment can also be preventive, as the installation of dysfunctions is sometimes symptom-free.
