Since I have the EMR quality label, longer osteopathic treatments can also be billed through corresponding supplementary insurances. Of course, all osteopathic treatments (manual therapy) and neural therapy are covered by the basic insurance (Tarmed) as a medical service, since I am licensed in Basel as a general internist doctor with the basic insurance.

Osteopathy and osteopathic medicine are forms of therapy from the field of complementary medicine. From an osteopathic point of view, the body consists of three areas: the musculoskeletal system, the internal organs and the craniosacral system, the structures such as the brain, meninges, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and sacrum. The osteopath removes blockages and so-called osteopathic lesions in these tissues, thereby stimulating the patient's self-healing powers. All treatment methods in osteopathic medicine are performed manually, i.e. with the hands. Through special hand movements on the body, the functionality of the musculoskeletal system, the internal organs and the nervous system should be maintained or restored.
