What is osteopathy? Osteopathy is an established and recognized diagnostic and therapeutic approach aimed at restoring the body's structural integrity and correcting functional disorders. It differs in that it postulates that many of the pains and discomforts we suffer stem from dysfunctions in certain structures of the body.

Osteopathy uses many of the same diagnostic procedures as conventional medicine. The osteopath is able to make a differential diagnosis, and if necessary refer the patient to a specialist or to his or her GP.

Osteopathy enables us to assess a patient from a biomechanical, functional and postural point of view. This enables an "osteopathic" diagnosis to be made, on which the osteopath can base his or her treatment, which consists of various manual techniques.
