Due to the medical knowledge, manual skills and holistic thinking, osteopathy is a good complement and support to conventional medicine. If necessary, I work together with medical and therapeutic specialists for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. After a detailed questioning, the aim is to identify the cause of the complaints. The patient's body is palpated with the hands and reduced mobility, conspicuous tensions and functional disorders in the following systems are sought:

in the craniosacral system, which includes the skull, spine, sacrum, cerebrospinal fluid, meninges and nervous system in the visceral system, which includes the internal organs and their blood and lymph vessels, as well as their corresponding nerve tract parts in the parietal system, which includes bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles in the myofascial system, which includes the connective tissue and the lymphatic system in the cardio-vascular system, which includes the arteries and the autonomic nervous system. A prerequisite for inner balance is the free movement of all systems of the body. The loss of movement of one system can lead to complaints, which, due to the connections, can also show up in a completely different part of the body. The osteopath tries to resolve the tensions and resistances in the anatomical structures that are in dysfunction by using specific manual manipulations. In general, the osteopath works on functional limitations and disorders. In the case of structural disorders (e.g. osteoarthritis), the osteopath can bring about relief, but a cure is not possible.
