The osteopath views the body as a dynamic unit and treats it holistically. Restriction of movement The osteopath's goal is to manually examine the body holistically from head to toe for loss of elasticity in various tissues (bones, joints, internal organs, skin, fascia, arteries, veins, lymphs and nerves). It is crucial to find the primary cause, which is not necessarily found at the site of the complaint. Treatment First the primary, then all further loss of elasticity is repaired by short, targeted and painless release impulses. The goal is to dissolve the overall lesion (restriction) in the whole organism. Self-healing The self-healing forces can act effectively again, i.e. the unhindered exchange of body fluids and thus the nourishment of all tissue structures is improved, or restored, so that the body can regenerate and find a more optimal, resilient balance.
