Osteopathic treatment

At the beginning of the therapy, the osteopath records the entire medical history in detail. He then tries to place the symptoms in anatomical, functional and physiological contexts in order to filter out possible causes for the current complaints. The results of the subsequent examination are compared with the medical history. It is not uncommon for the site of dysfunction to be different from the current site of pain. Using an extensive therapeutic spectrum of manual techniques, the osteopath can tailor subsequent therapy to individual complaints.

The goal of osteopathic treatment is to restore the individual balance of the various body systems. According to the teachings of osteopathy, the human body is divided into the following three main systems:

Osteoarticular system Includes the musculoskeletal system with all its bones, joints, muscles, tendons and connective tissues (fascia).

System Includes the internal organs, their blood and lymph vessels, and the corresponding (autonomic) nerve pathways.

-Sacral system Includes the cranial bones (skull), the sacrum (sacrum), its nervous system, cerebrospinal fluid and meninges.
