What is osteopathy? Osteopathy is a holistic medicine. It understands health as the functional balance of all structures of the human body. Osteopathy is divided into three areas:

• Parietal osteopathy, which looks at the entire body with all its bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
• Visceral osteopathy, which focuses on all the internal organs with their blood and lymph vessels, nerves and fibrous connective tissue.
• Craniosacral osteopathy, which focuses on the skull, sacrum as well as the nervous system and cerebrospinal fluid. With the help of various manual techniques, the osteopath tries to eliminate dysfunctions and thus set the self-healing mechanism in motion.

When can osteopathy help? Due to the range and variety of osteopathic techniques, a wide field of application arises. Osteopathic treatments are useful in many situations and at every stage of life. Examples among others: Slipped disc, lumbago, back pain, headaches and migraines, rehabilitation after accidental injuries, whiplash, muscle tension, sciatica, neck pain, insomnia, temporomandibular joint problems, tinnitus, accompaniment in case of "burn out"; etc.
