The osteopathic consultation begins with a complete anamnesis (clinical examination). This first step consists of asking you a series of questions about the reason for your consultation, your personal and family history, and your lifestyle, in order to establish an osteopathic diagnosis. This is followed by an osteopathic clinical examination, based on observation, palpation, medical and mobility tests, in order to link the pain to the rest of the body. This testing phase enables a full osteopathic assessment to be carried out to determine the most appropriate treatment for the patient. We may need to establish a diagnosis of exclusion if your pathology is not related to osteopathy. In this case, we will refer you to the specialist who will best care for you.

A consultation lasts around 45 minutes.

It is generally advisable to rest for 24 to 48 hours after a session, so that the body can find its new equilibrium and adapt to its new position. During this period, you may experience healthy fatigue and/or stiffness. These are not side effects, but rather the body's reactions to these changes, which will occur in the body for a few days.

If you have any additional tests (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, etc.) related to the reason for the consultation, or if you have marked your "course", you should bring them with you.
