Osteopathy involves the whole person in therapy. Osteopathy is a form of therapy that involves all regions of the body in examination and treatment. This means that during an examination or therapy, in addition to the joints and muscles as possible sources of problems, the internal organs with their surroundings, the nerves and the skull itself with its contents, the sensory organs and the temporomandibular joint are also included. In addition, the examining osteopath must take a look at important influencing factors such as nutrition, work, leisure time and the general state of health.

Internal organs can also be involved in joint pain. Likewise, joint / soft tissue problems can influence the functioning of internal organs. Thus, in the case of neck, back, leg, arm, jaw or head pain, the osteopath will often find involvement of the internal organs or their surroundings (e.g. scars) in the current ailment.

With the help of osteopathic therapy, the patient should be able to take command of his body again. In the course of the examination and therapy, I try to communicate findings and their consequences for the further course of therapy to the patient in an understandable way. In all my therapies, advising the patient on health-promoting behavior plays an important role.

Osteopathic therapy can be combined with other forms of therapy if necessary. Osteopathic medicine leans heavily on orthodox medical findings. Depending on the findings during an initial consultation, there may be a need for further conventional medical clarification. Likewise, in certain cases, other forms of therapy may be indicated at the same time as osteopathic treatment. I will discuss the optimal procedure with you in any case.
